Castelvecchio is a beautiful castle perfectly maintained at the intersection between via Roma and corso Cavour, in ancient times it was called the castle of San Martino in Aquaro. It is the largest military monument of the Scaligera family of Verona. Inside there is an ancient bridge from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the river Adige. Today it is the seat of the Civic Museum of Verona with one of the largest collections of Italian art.<\/p>

Verona has five Churches of inestimable historical relevance. The Basilica of San Zeno is perhaps the best Romanesque masterpiece in Italy. The Cathedral of Verona, also called Cathedral of Santa Maria Matricolare, is perhaps the most beautiful church in the city. The church of San Fermo Maggiore is another sugegstiva cathedral in the historic center of Verona. The Church of San Lorenzo is one of the oldest churches, its construction dates back to the fourth century.
